Remy Dou currently serves as the Dr. Eveleen Lorton Endowed Junior Chair for Pedagogy, Innovation and Excellence at the University of Miami in Miami, FL. There he leads the Talking Science Research & Development Group (Talking Science). Talking Science research attends to the socioemotional aspects of learning science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in informal environments (e.g., after school programs, home settings), focusing on factors related to children’s identification with these fields. This work includes the participation of families, teachers, and college students, many of whom identify as Hispanic/Latine and/or first- or second-generation migrants.
